    Unfortunate that it doesn't open more ... some very nice delicate coloration is visible.

    Personally I like the fact that there are orchids that stink, and whose flowers don't open much, also those whose blooms are pin-sized, including those whose flowers last for only a few hours, and those whose colours are drab. They only add to the diversity that no other plant families can match except orchids themselves.
