    Default Cymbidium flavum?

It looks like a variety of Cymbidium erythraeum. I can not see the difference between them except the color of flower. Can anyone tell me whether it is a Cymbidium flavum?

No idea on the id, but I love the color and I'm jealous you got a cym to bloom for you. I am anxiously awaiting to see whether my very first real orchid, a hybrid NOID, that I had to repot after I got it, will spike this year. Do you grow it in your greenhouse or outside? How low/high does it get for temperatures?

Well done and thanks for sharing.

Afraid I'm no help either, but that first shot really captured the flower's beauty well.

Cymbidium erythraeum var. flavum in Flora of China @ efloras.org. Zuoxin, look at this page. I think your plant is a Cymbidium erythraeum var. flavum.

Nice job on the ID Mietek! Looking at the drawings and comparing them with the photo's they do look much alike. I don't know C. erythraeum. Is it native to china? And is this flavum form rare?
