This orchid flowers better when the nights are colder. I bought it in Belgium with only a number on it so the grower knew what he was selling. But I took it to the Pleurothallis Society in The Netherlands and it was there named a Restrepia contorta. This year it has given me two seed pods, one I rescued just in time and is now happily growing in vitro. The other I wanted to set mature seed, but it shriveled and died on me unfortunately (sorry Jordan....)
But has BIG flowers!!!!
Gorgeous flower! Congrats!
Beautiful pictures, Maurice!
this is another eye catching orchid...awesome
Such an awesome flower! Reminded me that I just got my first restrepia bloom...which I don't think I will post. My pics pale in comparison!
