    Default Bulbophyllum orientale

I showed this a year ago - when new in this group, and it was kindly named for me, or maybe the name was corrected - to what I now show. Then, I think (?) it had a single spike, this year 3 and a fourth just starting. The complete "plume" is about 5 inches long at it's best.

Another of the amazing and wonderful species in this genus - but then it is a very large genus, with some hundreds of species. I guess when the splitters get the upper hand in the taxonomy world ( at present its the lumpers who are winning) it will be split into several different genera instead of merely sections of one enormous genera - just like what has happened in Dendrobium.

Love the way this bulbo orchid grows and displays its tiny flowers. Very nice. It would look good in a show! Very well grown orchid!
