Recently there was an influx of the hybrid of this called Rhynchorides Bangkok Sunset from Thailand, I got one. It has the sweetest fragrance. After seeing yours, I think I want one too .

Maybe Sarah Bernhardt (sp?) I think that would have been about the right timing.

Mazlan; I purchased a Rhynchlorides Bangkok Sunset also recently. Can't wait for the first bloom and didn't even know about the "sweetest fragrance" until your post. Geoff; I have heard of Ellen Terry. Will have to look up some biography on her. I know a bit about "The Divine Sarah" and have even seen old short film clips of her on YouTube. Thanks to you all. AL

Love the orchid blooms and the lip (blue or purple - it is still lovely)

I reckon the actress was not as dim as she pretended.
And orchid breeding works like this too, sometimes.
    nice story!

    cheers,
