Default Bulbophyllum medusae orchid in bloom

This one has been in bud for months. I was beginning to think it would never open. It started out with 15 buds but 4 aborted. I was getting to the point where I would have been happy if just one would hang on and open for me. Instead it is giving a decent show for the holidays. It started to open last week. I took a couple pics of the process. I have been growing it in the basement but now that the temps are in the high 60's it will have a winter home upstairs where it is warmer.

nice one, but are there different variety in medusae? coz in your pic the "white hair" looks much shorter.
