One of my favorite species of Gongora! If I am recalling correctly, these colorful little dragons have a fragrance redolent of cloves.

How interesting these look... How long do the flowers last? Do they like a nice warm environment?? I wouldn't mind finding a beam to hang a couple of these off of. I sense an online search of Gongora coming on....

I'm really liking the Gongora tribe more everytime I see one. Love the way the blooms look like hummingbirds to me! I've got Gongora chocoensis on my wish list, big time.
    Cheers,

Chocoensis is about my favorite Gongora species. Its only flaw is it is also one of the few species that is NOT fragrant.

Surely the strangest of orchids ... but then I say that about quite a few . Maybe that is the charm the whole family has.
