I agree, the color combo is fantastic. Add a really nice fragrance and what's not to like? When I find a zygo I can afford it'll come home with me.

Pavel: I checked both my monitors and the background is very black. Either your monitor is going south or something else is wrong.

Thank you, Jose. As I had mentioned, I believe the plant was shipped much closer to blooming than it was supposed to be. When I get plants that I don't spike myself, I generally make sure that they're no further along than spiking, for the very reasons you mentioned. I learned that from experience with paphs that had been bloomed all crooked - now mine all raise up from a tiny spike and I control for a straight stem. This is a very nice orchid - the fragrance really is delightful - the best among my collection, I think.

Also, thanks for the confirmation on the photos. Phillip was a tad upset that anyone would see inaccurate colors in his work.

Well Maura, your description of the fragrance of Zygo B G White had me fascinated to the point where I had to order one. It'll be my first Zygo, but I've really gotten into fragrant 'chids. Wish it didn't get so tall, but I really like the blooms and can't wait for my first sniff. Hope the culture is as easy as I've read.
    Cheers,
    Tony

Wow, Tony - I'm so happy for you! You'll love this zygo - just make sure you have it oriented properly so the blooms will open rightside up instead of upside down - like mine did!... Let me know how it goes - I'm really interested - and pleased.
