    Default Laelia anceps subsp. anceps

Very disappointed since the big spike was chewed and broken by slugs. This is the small one with only 2 flowers.

No, it is a division of a very old plant from my friend Denis. Thank you.

    Hi Eric-
How lovely! This is the species which first turned my head when I was a kid, and so it is still my favourite. My first love! I at last got three L anceps two years ago as juveniles; they are growing very well but I think they are still a year or two from maturity. I have all the time in the world for them... it will be a great day when they finally set bud!

Lovely anceps, Eric. Love anceps blooms but can't deal with those ridiculously tall flower spikes -- so I just enjoy the flowers vicariously through folks like you. heh

What a delight to see! Images like these keep my enchanted with this new found interest (obsession).
