Default catasetum penang (ctsm susan fuch x catasetum pileatum 'green gold)

current bloom in my garden, initially i was hoping for a green penang to pop out. but seems like a totally red penang. got a green yellowish penang, was hoping for a green one initially. however love the big heart shape of this labellum.
first pic the flower, the second pic second spike; in coming!

Love that deep, blood red orchid bloom. It has such a cool shape too.

    cheers,

Personally, I much prefer it as a deep red ... but then there aren't a lot of green flowers that sweep me away.

It is beautiful, Ian. Much as I like greens I wouldn't be disappointed with this at all.
