Flowers have sepals (?) about 1 cm long , and like many other Pleuros, the petals are tiny threads, and the lip too is small - so the sepals make almost a pair of jaws, since they don't open flat. I saw this species in Monte Verde cloud forest in Costa Rica some years ago, with dull orange flowers out all along a branch - very pretty , quite a sight, regrettably, my plant , when I eventually found it on offer, turns out to have these rather dingy brown flowers.
I grow it with and like my Masdevalias - medium fie bark, well drained, shady, damp - sprayed daily if possible - it comes from a Cloud forest.

I can understand your disappointment when you had your heart set on orange, but still very interesting flowers! And very nice closeup!
