My problem would be temperature followed by humidity. We get too warm here in the summer and hardly anyone, most importantly myself, has air conditioning.

For humidity I just use a humidifier and mist twice a day, The masdie seems to like it...
For temperature, some of the more complex hybrid were created to be more heat-tolerant.
Also, there has been a hybrid called " Dracuvallia " ( Dracula x Masdevallia ).
Although again, Dracula can not withstand heat for a long time, some draculas can, just they have to have a 10 degree drop at night, hope this helps.
    Good Luck!
    Alex
