    Very pretty, Mietek. When I saw the picture I thought it looked very familiar and then when I googled I found that this was what we used to call Arachnis carthcartii. If I remember correctly there have been a few intergeneric crosses made with this orchid. Thanks for posting/

    I love Esmeralda. Bravo.
    I bloom easily clarkei since 4 years. But I'm always waiting for my cathcartii.

    WOWser!! Amazing bloom. As Yew Sung, mentioned I remember this as Arachnis, as well. I haven't thought about this plant in years. I would LOVE to try it, but!!!!! would doubt it could take the heat in Florida.

    yes Cathy, this species is growing in altitude up to 2000m, so I'm afraid, Florida is a to warm place for this Esmeralda. Maybe Esm. clarkii.
