    Default Habenaria species

Native to Peninsular Malaysia friend of mine told me the flowers relatively big and beautiful when the spike came out I so excited was wondering what kind of flowers it is, so shock the character exactly like insects and the others photos like a little dragon.

Wow, Zain, what an interesting species. It seems so small, how do you keep track of it? Is it native to your area? Great photos, by the way.

A species I haven't seen before. I like how the nectary tube forms a "tail" for the little beasty.

This species is native to Selangor Peninsular Malaysia deep inside the jungle near the waterfall growing over the leaf litter about 200 Kilometer from my location. The flower lasting for more than 2 weeks I kept the plants near the Phaius so everyday without a fail when I watering the plants I will observe the spike and buds till it open for me. Thanks Maura.

Im quite certain its Habenaria hystrix, based on the short hairs on the inflorescence. It is also recorded from Borneo and widespread in the Philippines.
