I stay on the East Coast of Africa and we have the Ansellia here much darker than the one in your photo. Yours are a very fine specimen.
The further you go up the coast (West) the paler the flower becomes until you get a flower that has virtually no spots in it. I thought I will just share this piece of useless information with you.

Thank you Rose for the informations. I did not know that.
Your plant is wonderful. This is the form we often see in France in cultivation. Is this var. nilotica ?

    Default great species

I have the pure pale yellow form... this species is easy to grow and flower. Some day I would not mind having a really dark one! Beautiful specimen you have there!

OH no, not useless at all ; this is the kind of info I love to acquire. I had thought that it was a mixed population.
I think the botanists now have it that all (?) the Ansellias are the same species - at least africana and nilotica. The latter implies that it is found somewhere in Central Africa ( I can't imagine finding it in Egypt or even Sudan) - do you know anything about that ?
