Miss Elizabeth thanks you all for the compliments! And so do I! I am hoping that there is lots of new growth this summer to begin hiding the hardware cloth!

Great job my friend. Love your blooms and your fingers. Thanks for sharing a lovely bulbo.

Mine stays outdoors under shadecloth in the summer and gets watered TONS! It also gets a big temp drop at night. I'm in a valley twenty miles off the coast north of San Francisco. Midsummer highs are usually around 80-85f with nights between 55-60f. I bring it in late fall and put it under lights. The temps are not much different, but I water a bit less...actually letting it dry occasionally. We have no a/c and only use the heating when nights drop to around 30. Bulbophyllum rothschildianum is a parent of this hybrid and it's a cooler growing bulbo from what I understand.Posted via Mobile Device

Thanks, Jason. I am aware that rothschildianum is a cooler grower than most bulbos. But several growers have managed to flower 'Bucklebury' here, so the problem can't be too warm. Maybe I'll try more light and water..

When I moved mine in for winter, I did put it really close to the lights...actually touching them if it was hung at the wrong angle. That coincided with the occasional drying. I'd guess shade along with tons of water and bright with less...temps may not be an issue at all. Hope you get blooms so you can smell her too!Posted via Mobile Device
