Many thanks Yew. It is such a tranquil place to go. And it's hard to go terribly wrong with such good subjects.

    Default The Cellphone Version

While Phillip was taking professional portraits yesterday, I was busy trying to get my cellphone to record a few of the other subjects without having them completely overexposed by how sunny it was and how very few controls a cellphone camera affords (like zoom lenses and lighting options, of a start). Here are a few more of the lesser shots from our expedition - the orchids (most, but not all, are orchids) that were interesting but not really worth special photographic treatment - anyway, it was fun, and if I've duplicated anything Phillip shot, I apologize.

Thanks for taking a look -

Great pics, Maura. I can't believe these were taken with a cell phone!!!! The colour fidelity and sharpness are amazing! May be it's time to throw away my bulky DSLR ..... or is it just the photographer and not the equipment?

Ah yes, the artist or the medium? The visionary or the lenses? The...... But I digress....this cellphone has some really great features - when it's good, it's really, really good, but when it's bad, it's horrid!
