Maura and I took a short afternoon trip to the Orchid Conservatory at the Atlanta Botanical Garden today. I have several pictures to post, but seem to remember there being a limit of four photo's at one time.
I know the Paph.s from the Frag.s and the Cattleyas from the others, but identification is best left to you experts. I just had a good time taking pictures of some beautiful flowers

Wow, great phrags!
Thanks Guys, I deleted part of this post because Maura told me that I put it in the wrong place. I will try to re-compose this post in the proper thread, so if you see it again, look for a few more pictures.
Yesterday Maura and I took a short visit to the Orchid Conservatory at the Atl Bot. Gardens. I took my camera and tripod as it was a weekday afternoon and I didn't figure on getting in too many peoples way. As always, a trip to the Botanical Garden is good for your state of mind and this visit was all of that. Sometimes I think we should make it a point to go every day for our sanity, but alas, it may be too late to save that at this point.
At any rate, we had a good relaxing time and I captured a few orchids with my camera. Mind you, I know the difference in Paph.s and Phrag.s, Cattleya's and other orchids, but I will leave the identification to those of you who know much more than I do. I mainly just enjoy the pretty flowers and getting a good shot of them when I can.
By the way, I started this thread somewhere else and tried to delete it as Maura told me that I had posted in the wrong forum. I managed to get one of the posts deleted, but not the other one. Perhaps Bruce can find it and fully delete it.
How lovely! You sure do good work with your camera, Phillip.
We only had a couple of hours to visit, but we could spend days exploring there. The orchids are constantly changing, so you never know what you'll find.
Thank you Patty, I enjoy it, but am merely an average photographer. I appreciate the compliment.
Great shots Phillip. Love the shots with backlighting.
Here are a few more from the Conservatory. Some parts are warm and humid, but that feels good on a chilly afternoon like yesterday in Atlanta
