    Default Restrepia angustifolia

WOOT! I got home from my 3rd day at my new job, and went out to the greenhouse to find THIS had popped a bloom, without my knowledge of there even being a spike! What a find! I did have R. elegans at one point, but i somehow killed it....

I got this as a small keikei after sweet talking a vendor at the Taranaki Summer Extravaganza show-over 100 vendors from across the country (most of them private collectors), and over 400 show plants-where he told me to shove it in some Spag, and wait. Didnt have to wait long....

Wow Jordan, that one is a beauty! It looks to me like antennifera var. angustifolia. I'm wondering about growth conditions given that it loves cool environment...

Thanks Cathy It is always nice to come home to a surprise, especially after a tiring day at work!

Branka, i think you are correct! I will label it R. antennifera for now It resembles most of the photos in my books...

Nice goin Jordan! I have a little restrepia that sneaks up on me too...keep it happy and it will grow like a weed! Mine looked a bit sad when I got it so I put it on a saucer the "eorchids way" and it's growing like crazy!
