    Hi Pavel,

Tree in the background is a Melaleuca, or commonly known as the paper bark tree.

Colour is perfect as a backdrop for photography, but, next time must centre the orchid.

The lip of the flowers in your picture is a characteristic of Cattleya guttata hybrids. Cattlianthe Portia or Porcia both will have fullet lips. On the other hand vegetative growth is quite variable depending on the environment, culture and individual growth characteristics of the parents. Thats why in the older days without the DNA technology flower morphology was the way to classify plants. Anyways we will wait and see the new blooms.

I have several orchids labelled Porcia 'Cannizaro' and and they are much bigger plant (70 cms) than a Bactia 'Forever Yours' that I have.

The orchid labelled Porcia is currently spiking. I will take further pictures when in flower.
