    Default Sarcochilus ceciliae

I might have posted those before...I post them here again due to recent interest.

Sarcochilus is a wonderful genus. S. ceciliae is one of smallest species from this genus although all of them are miniature to small species. Not all species from this genus have the same culture but in general, many of them do well under intermediate condition. S. ceciliae, on the other hand, likes slightly cooler temperature and brighter light.

    Hi Tom,

You have very good taste, sarcs are really cute: I'm just a little biased.

As a matter of interest for myself, do you have any Aussie Dendrobiums species/hybrids or dockrillias?

    Regards

    George

George, I mainly grow species and I do grow few Aussie Dendrobium species, like toressae, rigitum, linguiforme, cucumerina, wassellii, striolata...

    Hi Tom,

An interesting range of dockrillias (I know RHS call these dendrobiums, but, where I come from they are referenced as docs.).

A good mate of mine has been growing docs for the greater part of his life, and he has a very extensive and diverse collection of species and hybrids. Some are very large, occupying a 12 inch pot and hanging growth length of over 5 feet. I place it in my diary, to take some photos August - Sept of some of his collection of species and post them on the forum.

I will mention that local hybridisers are very active, and the range of colours that they are achieving is mind blowing, I've attached some photos taken by a mate of mine.

    Kind Regards

    George

George, you can start a new thread to discuss Aussie Dendrobium. Another thing, I am assuming those photos that you have posted here belong to you or you have permission of photo owner(s) to post them in public forums, otherwise, there will be a copy-right issue.
