This is its 10th blooming since I got it in 2008.
    Thank you all.
Hi eorchids. It is very big plant indeed because it is the largest among its genus.

    Congratulations on your good culture.
Hi cattan. I read from the internet that Ren. storiei naturally grows at elevations of 1000 meters and up. Maybe you can try Ren. philippinensis because it naturally grows in mangrove swamps. However the flower of Ren. storiei is twice larger than of Ren. philippinensis. Both of them are endemic to the Philippines but I love Ren. philippinensis more because of its compact and round leaves.

Interesting, Eric ; in my conditions - also not tropical of course, these Renantheras of this section flower about every 5 months, starting when say 45cm high. I have never let one get to be more than 90cm, since by that time, with the flowers, they are up to 1.5m high, and are difficult to keep in the greenhouse, and impossible to get to a show , unless I hire a van, which is one step too far for me. I should love to see one of the big plants that people talk about in Australia , when the plant is 1.5 m high and can carry 2 or 3 spikes at once .
But maybe you are giving me ideas - I do take top cuttings, perhaps I should put three in a single pot ?
