Great Gongora. I love the color and form on these blooms. It really feels good to have something this vigorous and still have more flowers to come................AL

Thanks. I have 2 pieces of galeata, both mounted. Both are growing but yet to get a spike. I know most aussie growers put theirs with cyms and zygos, where they get cooling in winter, and not in the hothouse.

Gorgeous and healthy looking plant! You have a nice set-up for your orchids. I have mine inside the house. I try to mimic those rainforest conditions by misting it daily and watering it often enough so that the sphag-bark mix it's in stays moist. It hangs in a wooden basket in a bright, warm spot and the near-by heat-pump blowing warm air creates the illusion of warm tropical winds... Hopefully I'm on the right track fooling it to bloom for me. It has grown new leaves but no flower stems yet.

Well, I've had to post this pic as the plant wouldn't co-operate by opening all the buds together. Hopefully the next lot of spikes (5) do.
