    Default Schomburkia ID

Can anyone ID this Schomburkia? I believe it is a species.
I call it a "wild orchid" because it grows high in the trees all over the island. Flowers once a year and has a fragrance which, to me, is not very pleasant.
I would love to know it's name.

ive got the white/pink/purple Myrmecophila thomsoniana and i am anxiously waiting for it to spike this summer, last year the spike was about 5 feet long! i bought a younger plant shortly after i found my big one and i'm hoping it's the same as yours, i would love that yellow/orange with that fantastic lip... must be amazing to have those just hanging around the trees!!! not to mention how much i would love to live in barbados!!

Thanks for the ID. The spikes are 18"-24" long and usually have between 8-12 flowers.
Will try to take a picture of the psuedobulbs later. I had to stand on a bench and use my garden rake to pull that flower down. LOL.
We also have Schom. humboldtii growing up that tree as well. I am thinking that I shall get my gardener to climb a ladder and take a plant of each sothat I can add them to my collection.

Wow, Angela! That is a remarkable clump of orchids. It must be amazing to see in bloom.
