    Default Encyclia sp.?

    Hi folks,

this is my only Encyclia i have, waited over 3 years for it to flower. I'm quite lost in my research and the most fitting name would be E.spatella, based on the spatulate pedals.
It has a nice fragrance, which i can't describe.

    I appreciate any input,
    cheers!

This encyclia orchid flower seems so dark. I love the second photo. Wonderful bloom. I hope someone can identify it for you properly.

    cheers,
    BD

This looks like some of mine, but "not quite." Can't exactly place it, but will look around. Very pretty flower...and since it smells good, I'd say it's a winner! Congratulations, Ron...you've discovered the beautiful world of encyclias! Betty

My friend Ron Parsons was able to id it, its E.parviflora. From what i gathered, it's closely related to E.alata, differs in its smaller flowers and lip margins are supposed to be always yellow with reddish/brown veins. My flowers are ca. 3x3cm.

Bruce, i hope you can still change the title or something.., thanks!!!
