Hi PixeBloom; I don't do anything that special. My plant is in a 4 inch plastic container. This time of year I water every three days. On the sixth day of each week instead of plain water I fertilize with MSU fertilizer for Well Water at 1/2 strength. Bright, mostly indirect light, though it does get at least a bit of direct morning sun. It hangs up with other Encyclia's that have not bloomed for me yet. In winter I water less, every ten days starting in December and then gradually increasing watering in early spring. I have warm grown this only. Hope the information helps! AL

Striking resemblance to Enc. fragrans but the two leaves per pseudobulb gives it away

Al, that's a keeper for sure! Good job! You sure have gotten a lot of flowers this spring.

Thanks, Al for sharing your growing routing. I think I've been providing good conditions so far. Maybe I can up the light levels a little and see if it blooms next year. I have another encyclia (Tampens type) that I grow under brighter conditions and it blooms well.
