    Default Encyclia ionophebia (First Bloom)

I purchased this Encyclia just over a year ago. This is one of only two Encyclia's that have bloomed for me this spring and time to spike and flower Encyclias is running out. Oh well as Scarlett would say "Tomorrow is another day", or as any good orchid grower would say "Tomorrow begins another year". Three buds so far. AL

    OrchidsAl,

What type of culture do you provide for this encyclia? I also have one, got it a year ago, and it's been an up and down deal. There's been a lot of new growth and what I hope were spikes, but no flowers. I've searched the web for culture tips for this orchids and almost nothing out there.

Congrats on getting yours to bloom.
