    Default Spathoglottis x parsonsii??

I'm not sure which one is correct, parsonsii or parsonii.

I've got this as a division from my sister in law last October. First bloom open this morning and the color is lighter than it shows in the pic. Here's some info about this hybrid.

Nice looking flower Tanya. Love that peachy colour on the sepals just for contrast. Interesting shape to the whole flower too.. It looks like there's still quite a few buds to open.. so do these open a few at a time? or were u just keen

    Cheers
    Tim

Tim, few buds open at a time and the spike will continue to grow and produce more buds as the older ones wither and drop off. This is my first time to grow this natural hybrid so I am not sure about the length of its blooming period. I had the species Spathoglottis plicata before and that one blooms from April to December here in HK. I am hoping that this one will do the same. Like Dianne said, I don't believe all that I read .

The experts say that this one bloom from October to December. Well, we'll see , its only August and its already blooming .

Very nice! Not sure if it's parsonsii or parsonii myself.
What you said about spa. plicata~I didn't know that it would stay in bloom that long! I have one, but not in bloom yet. I like this orchid for the foliage too.
