    Default Schomburgkia hybrids NOID

This has been with me for almost five years. Very difficult to bloom successfully here. The spikes always abort halfway, maybe the temperature is too hot. This is only the second time I managed to see the blooms.

The blooms are so beautiful on this schomburgkia orchid. Glad you were able to bloom it this time. Love the detail in the lip of these blooms; great shape as well.

    cheers,
    BD

I followed a hunch and I think your orchid might be Caulophila (or Schombodiacrium) Buccoo Reef (Caularthron bicornutum x Myrmecophila humboldtii). If not that maybe some other Caularthron x Myrmecophila cross. It isn't easy to find any pictures of these. Could we see a picture of the whole plant?

There is a guy i've almost bought one very very similar to this. I'll look up the name for you...this one is pretty distinctive and it may be the same one. It is a gorgeous one! How large is the flower??

I agree with Kirk, this is clearly a Caularthron bicornutum hybrid. Lovely.

Gorgeous hybrid, the Caularthron parent might cause the problems with the blooming under hot conditions.
