    Default Other Cymbidium NOID

    I know this guy for almost 10 years already and recently I try to find ID of this one but I can;t find it. This one just only leaving in one kind of pam tree only and very very difficult to cultivate.

    beautiful. here we call this (and others like it) 'warm' mini cymbidiums. they are not common here, but there are a lot of asians here in california growing cyms like this in greenhouses. in ca we normally can leave cyms outside, but these need to come inside in the winter so most people don't grow them. the only one really well known here is a hybrid called golden elf. most people kill them if they leave them outside long enough, but people don;t seem to know they need more warmth. i will forward your picture to a guy that sells chinese cyms if you want. not sure if he will know. is this wild, or did you buy it and attach it? those lines on the petals are distinctive, so this should be id-able. i've seen a lot of the warm ones, but never noticed that before.

    @coeruleo: This is the wild one and it seem to occur in a small areas (the red one is common but the green one not)
