I'm growing Aerides and Vanda, under same condition. Getting full sun, the leaves will turn to reddish or brownish color, depend on species.
Mietek, The Florida sun is so intense at this time of year. It really isn't so much for the light but for the moisture. They stay a little cooler in a little more shade, but they are still in very high light. I find they like to not dry out so quickly for me.

OOOps so sorry Cathy, but the wish is still to have a collection like yours.
What strikes me most about this elegant Aerides houlletiana is the richness of the yellow coloring on the blooms. Most don't seem quite that yellow. I wish mine were more of a medium yellow like this one Cathy. AL
