    Default catasetum macroglossum

    another of my favorite hooded catasetums. the two small teeth structure on the midlobe of the labellum and a semicircular callus at the apex are characteristic of this species. but the callus is very hard for me to photograph without cutting the flower apart.

    Agreed! Really a cool orchid bloom, Ian. These orchids are so fascinating - I can see how catasetum orchids could become an obsession.
