There's not much to see right now as it is a young plant but when she blooms I'll post it on here.

No I have yet to get to one of their show but I will hopefully get there next year. There is an International Orchid show coming up in Peterborough this month but I shalln't get to that either. Can't afford to right now. London is a cool city. I wouldn't change anything about it apart from the weather but saying that, I can now water all of my orchids with rain water collected in water butts on our estate. They have only been there a short time - a new council incentive, so that is great!! I will never need to buy distilled ever again!! yippee. Sometimes it's good not to have blazing hot summers after all.

Very nice on all the photos. I wish I could grow these. They just hate the heat in South Florida. I'm good with them up till about July, August and September and they just tend to melt away in heat.

How hot does it get there in July/August? Here in Barcelona we can get as much as 90-95 F. It doesn't seem to affect my zygos. I've got them inside, though.

[QUOTE=Orquiadicto;318777]My Zygopetalum louisendorff is in spike right now. I can't wait to see the flowers again. If I remember well from when I bought it in bloom, it hasn't got a scent.

hmmm ... now I have one that looks exactly like this and it does have a scent? - martha

I could grow them if they were in the house. I don't need anymore projects. All the orchids need to stay outside unless they are visiting inside while in bloom.
Anyway, 90 to 95 as well but the nights are very warm as well.

Hi Teena, I don't remember it having a scent. Perhaps because it was the first time it bloomed? When these new blooms open, I'll know for sure if they have a scent or not.
