    Smile Spider Orchids NZ

They are very small so you have to look close to find them. You can see the black spikes beside the leaves those ore the flowers. I did bring get the camera as close as I could but the wet habitat that they like made it hard. The botanists amoung us well tell us which spider orchid it is. It is growing on Mt Taranaki. For those who like orchid hunting here is some NZ bush orchid habitat. No wild animals , snakes or other creepy creatures, just birds that sing to you as you walk along.

That sounds nice and peaceful. It looks like an area here in Barbados that people take nature walks in.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Looks like the kind of place where I would love to visit. Did you take pictures for your future paintings?

NZ is truly a place like no other the forest we have here is similar to that of a rain forest minus the heat. I'm not a big fan of our natives however have appreciated them more as I see them on a daily basis.

Thanks for the invitation, I would love to visit your country. I have some friends in Australia who are also begging me to come so who knows I might just get the Travel bug and head that way.

Too difficult for my eyes just at present, but it looks like a nice bit of forest for a walk.
