Default Stanhopea grandiflora, native orchid from Brazil

Orchid found the banks of the streams here in Pará, silk petals that look fine, strong scent, very pleasant, the flowers remain open about 2 days, do not like sun, that I have are grown in the shade under a tree, do not fit for the flowers in pots out below.

I really love Stanhopea orchid blooms. I have such trouble with the foliage on the orchid plant thought. Mine always end up wiith black spots.

    cheers,
    BD

BD, I've the same problem. It's, for me, to high temperature and lack of humidity, but despite the black spots, my plants are blooming every year.

Same for me here. They always bloom, but the leaves just look terrible. Rui's stan leaves look perfect.

    cheers,

    Default Blooms like crazy

I have this one too, and I have to say, it is virtually everblooming. It is always in bloom or in spike. Before the current flowers even fade, the next spike or spikes are underway... Been this way for 6 months now. Anybody else have a similar experience with theirs?
