    Default octopus orchid

this is a bag baby, I couldn't resist, was spiking in the bag when I bought it. The label said epi green hornet, which I think is wrong ,Prosthechea cochleata I think is the right name. What ever the name it's a little gem.Name: octopus (Copy).jpg

I love this one in that it is so easy to grow abd almost always in bloom. The blooms are very long lasting and abundant. I bought mine from a reputable grower and the tag is marked Epi. Green Hornet (cochleata x lanceifolum). Your blooms are very nice and am sure will be nicer once they are being produced under your care. Good Buy!

Green Hornet blooms look very much like cochleata blooms (cochleata is one of the parents). I wonder if there's a way to tell them apart? I've read that the Green Hornet plant is generally supposed to be shorter than the cochleata plant. Your tag may be right. Anyway, lovely blooms!

Thanks everybody and thanks to bill for helping sort out the name for me, much appreciated. I paid about $5 for plant, I'm enjoying this one more than some plants I've spent 10 times that amount. thanks again
