Bulb corolliferum in bloom

    Default Bulb corolliferum in bloom

    This little fellow is very free flowering. This time it is blooming with 6 spikes. The flowers last about a week or so. No scent detected.

    What a great color, Yew! Do you feel your camera got it right? The D200? Macro lens? Aperture editing?

    Thanks Maura. Yes to all the questions. I did a bit of editing in 'Levels' to get the colour as close to the original as possible.

    I have one fo these and until this week it has never bloomed. Mine only has one spike so I was happy to ee that next time it might get more! Thanks for sharing!

    Congrats Anna. For us here it is very free flowering - several times a year.

    This looks like a "fun" orchid, Yew. I'm not even sure what I mean exactly by fun, it's just that it made me smile spontaneously when I saw the photos.
