    IDENTITY ALERT: E pterocarpa (in the top 2 photos) is also a bit dodgy. There is a range of images for this one, I have found. I am aware you have to be open minded with a species due to the natural variability, and where to draw the line between one species and another can be a matter of opinion... but still..!

    Anyway: I have to say the form I have got has better colouring and more elegant form than any other "pterocarpas" I have found illustrated... UNFORTUNATELY it completely lacks the perfume I should have expected from this species. But I shall keep the name on the label until I learn better. (It looks like there is hopeless confusion here, so I am not that bothered!)
