Incredibly attractive flower on that signatum! While the B. phalanopsis flowers won't win any beauty prizes, I do find them intriguingly and interestingly different. (Is it one of the really bad smelling ones?)

I love the first flower. I don't recall seeing a bulbo that looked like yours. Both are nice...great job!

Both bulbo orchids are lovely. Can you offer any tips on blooming the bulbo phalaenopsis. My plant is now huge and still growing. I have tried more light to the point that the leaves turn red, but it just keeps growing new bulbs and leaves. The thing is a monster. What can I do to get it to finally flower?

    cheers,
    BD

what is hudge? mine flowered with 35cm leaves for the first time.
what are your conditions? mine grow in bright light, and very high temperatures in the summer but now about 18 at night only sometimes less. i let it dry a little between two watterings. i don't use a lot fertilizer with bulbo, ony a little, sometimes...
mine is a division, maybe it flower more easely
maybe seed grow have to wait longer to be as old as divisions can be...
sometimes bulbo are just bad boys...

My bulbo phal is also a division and the leaves are up to 36 inches (91 cm). When I say huge it is really big. I need to get an updated photo to share. It gets hot temperatures in the summer, and down to 50's in the colder months. I must be feeding it too much as it gets fed once every two weeks in the winter, but only at 1/4 strength. hmmmm? Maybe it has bloomed and I just missed it somehow. I just don't get it.

    cheers,
    BD
