Beautiful ! Do you have the name for this cym? Since it;s blooming in Florida, I assume it's a warm/heat tolerant cym.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was told not to try to grow cyms because they like the cold.

    Beautiful flowers.

I was told the same thing chrisa. It is a challenge to find varieties with heat tolerance or do not require the diurnal temperature differential. Most of my plants have ensifolium, dayanum, sinense or aloeifolium in their background. I do not like the species but their crosses are amazing imparting the heat tolerance with the beauty of the modern hybrids. It is verrrrry difficult to find growers/hybridizers supplying these plants. I spent a lot of time and wasted a lot of money on them but it is challenging

Beautiful. I just don't succeed in reblooming Cyms.
They do well, grow new bulbs, but no spikes.
don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Hello, in my climate cymbidiuns grow very well almost like weeds. The Asian varieties dont need the cold spell to initiate buds. However, I do stress the plants after the rainy season by witholding water. I am sure there are other experts on here that have different suggestions and techniques as far as fertilizer, water or tempersture for the Asians.
