no, if the media is damp and the bulb is shrivel slightly, meaning that the root is not taking up water efficiently. watering now will only drown them further.
let the media dry out completely. the plant is about to be dormant. let it rest

Thank you both Ian and Bill. If this plant succeeds I will be adding a shelf for a few more. I appreciate all the help.

yes, really breathtakingly black. not only the color, the flower shape of this plant is awesome as well compare to other clone.
i am just learning here Yew Sung
expert i am not, a catasetinae junkie perhaps would be more appropriate

and just curious here Cathy, the flower of this hybrid is it unisexual like the cycnoches/catasetum parents or it has a bisexual flower like the mormodes parentage?

I don't have a clue Ian. I'm looking around for an answer. I might contact Fred Clark and pose the question to him.

It's a real beauty! I want this one...something needs to keep my currently lonely catasetum hybrid company! Good advice above. I love plants that tell me what to do. Now if I could convince ALL of my plants that they wanted a dormant period, I could have a vacation!

Please when you find out about this let me know. I have asked several people and get either conflicting answers or a simple I don't know.
