    google banana spiders...
    ...all im sayin... i aint never seen a scorpion that looks like dat!
    (yall, i did know they are called scorpion orchids... i just find it disagreeable)

    Used to call them spider orchids too until someone pointed out that , those referred to the Brassias, and to make matters more complicated Brassias here are called 'sotong' (squids). If you think Arachnis orchids don't look like scorpions then google for the cave dwelling whip scorpions of the family Amblypygids that don't look like scorpions.

    i love you, yew! and i think yall have it right, brassias do look more like squids... squids that are about to attack! and these arachnis mimic banana spiders perfectly...

    They are really great and thanks for uploading the pictures. It’s one of my favorite orchids. Arachnis Maggie Oei, the 'Red Ribbon’ is one of the special types of orchid; which I would like to get.
