    No, Maura they're not in S/H,i only use the leca clay but the pot is regular deep gardening pot with a lot of holes under neath.i use hot scissor to make about 10 holes for drainage and fill up with peanut foam.easy for me to repot in the future and i change my habbit not to move the pot around like before.they're under the shade of grape tree as you know,in the future they'll get only half day sun but not direct

    thank you Jan,Cym love cool but my concern this year was we have a lot of rain when i left for vacation.you can see from the first picture,the pot was wet and make me nervous for the stem but it bloom for me later on.

    I use slow release fertiliser for 90% of my orchids including the newly acquired cyms. As I mentioned earlier I'm a rank beginner with cyms and I should be the one asking advice from you.

    May be I need to try next year after all flowers gone,my current fert is the same for all catts and vanda

    Thank you,I believed the reason for this bloom was the temperature drop so much in the night.luckily I was not here.
