    Default Maxillaria 'Memoria Ben Berliner'

jeffrey and i almost always go to this massive sprawling morning market that happens on the weekends down by the river here in taipei.... its a boot sale, flea market... whatever you want to call it... we've been going there nearly every weekend for the last 9 years... in the midst of all this there is a wife/husband duo that sells plants (her) and aquarium fish (him)... ive managed a few good scores off her as far as specimen plants go... she usually has massive over grown things that just scream TAKE ME HOME! today she had this, a maxillaria i had not seen before... the smell is divine, but yet different from max ten... more butter less coconut... did some research and...unless im wrong, it to be this

Unusual cross. Don't see much in the way of Max crosses.

I have seen a few but collected Maxillaria species. One interesting hybrid is Maxillaria Fabricio Suarez which is a hybrid between Maxillaria sanderiana and Maxillaria molitor.

I did grow this hybrid http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...ia-sangai.html

Nice Maxillaria hybrid, and I agree with Ron about wishing a market like yours was here where I live.

Sane I am so jealous! You pop on here with the most interesting orchids, from down the road at the flea market! This one has striking contrast. Congrats on your find.
