Default Angcm. sesquipedale x Angcm. sesquipedale var. bosseri

I have 2 of these, the one I've mounted isn't blooming, the basket grown one is rewarding me with it's first bloom. The flower is a little over 7" diagonal, and the spur is about 11", a faint fragrance at night.Name: anagr (Copy).jpg

lovely. Can you tell me about Angcm. sesquipedale var. bosseri. I have never seen that listed before. Sesquipedale at one time was Angm bosseri. As far as I knew there was only Angcm. sesquipedale.

Beautiful! Just love these. I thought they had a strong fragrance at night?

Ron the tag reads Angcm.sesquipedale 'Winter White' x Angcm.sesquipedale var. bosseri 'Summertime Dream', looking up bosseri I found one source that said it is Angraecum sesquipedale var. angustifolium, which from my understanding is a smaller sized plant, but same size flower. hope this helps

I thought so too, I've only been out early at night or early morning, maybe it is stonger later

I've always admired the flowers of sesquipedale -- and this one is no exception -- but the plants simply get far too big for me to consider growing them.

The best Angraecum reference website has been suspended which the best info on the genus I've seen. Though in the short of it, all the label needs is Angraecum sesquipedale. It's a very nice flower.
