Hi Angel very nice flowers is not Renanthera but is Dendrobium hybrids/ species as the plant itself is a sympodial type of growth habit by the way many flowers nice clone.

thank you Zainal. I was having doubts myself because the flowers are quite larger and more yellow than the usual yellow renanthera. Now I've posted this in the wrong place. Hahahaha

Absolutely Awesome blooms. Can't see the actual flower from your pic. (could you take a close-up of the flower). just from your pic. have a look at Den. Hun Sen might be it.

Could it be a Dendrobium goldenrod or one of its hybrids? I bought a goldenrod a while back... it was by far the largest plant in my collection, but when it bloomed I decided I wasn't crazy about the color and I gave it to a friend who was just going bonkers over it. It's difficult to tell the exact flower shape of yours from your wide-angle shot. I'll dig through my orchid pics and see if I can find a closeup of my goldenrod when it was in bloom.

There's also a fairly common hybrid out there that's (goldenrod x Yap Sew Yin x discolor.) Here's a vendor pic of one of those:

Your plant is gorgeous, even without an exact ID!

Thank you, Angela. This photo was taken some months back. The plant is not in bloom right now.

Thank you, Jen. I suspect this to be one of the older hybrids since we don't have anything very new available here.

I checked the orchid goldenrod x Yap Sew Yin x discolor. Its leaves are more elongated and pointed than this one. This has leaves similar to a renanthera's that's why I mistook it for one.

About 80% of my orchids don't have exact IDs. Practically nothing comes with an accurate ID here in Cotabato. Those of mine that have IDs I had to find through the web since only one of my many orchids came with a label.
