Default Year Two - My Sedirea Japonica!

I debated about whether this should go in the Vanda Thread, since Sedirea is aerides spelled backwards, but here it is, anyway.

I got this in bloom at our orchid show last year and was totally entranced by its shape, markings and fragrance (very citrus). I honestly didn't think it would make it to the next year of blooming - it's been repotted at least twice (while I was figuring out which media to use for my various orchids), and yet, here it is, delightful for two years in a row! I think this is my first orchid to bloom for me after a year under my care. YAY!!!

OMG.... I LOVE IT!!! I SOOOOOO LOVE IT!!!

I have been debating getting one of these for a while, actually. I see them used in various hybrids, and it makes me think it might be a plant worthwhile to have for breeding purposes. But now that I see how absolutely ADORABLE and charming the plant is in its own right, I think I'm going to have to buy one, just to have it!!

This one just rocketed to the top of my wish list.

Thanks so much, Connie - I looked at my photos of it from last year and either this year's are better, or I had a worse camera last year - could be either or both!
