    ahhhh....had been sometime since i posted. good to be back. this is Loppe Farlansiae, a cross between Clowesetum Black Jade and Catasetm barbatum.

    Another winner, Ian. Lovely shade of green. Glad to see your posts again. This must be the Catasetinae season as all mine are spiking. Thanks to following your advice of placing the spiking catasetum under the shade, my Cstm Jumbo Pearl is producing male flowers for the first in 4 flowering seasons - yes, after 3 long years!

    That has to be the best one i've seen so far! The fuzzy stuff and the nice bright color remind me of the Digbyana...very cool!

    wow, three long years. glad to hear that eventually it decided to give a male spike. Jumbo pearl is an interesting hybrid! can't wait to see it.


    this Loppe farlansiae is having a trigger-like pollina, just like the ctsm, mostly due to the back cross with the ctsm barbatum. was thinking of crossing this with ctsm cirrhaeoides of mine to see if the progeny has functional trigger pollina again, that is if i manage to sow them ...... hahahaha
