    Default First Bloom! Bulbophyllum Sanguineopunctatum

    First bloom on this plant! As soon as I moved it to S/H it grew two new bulbs which (very) promptly put up spikes!

    I took pictures of the process, except for the start - I assumed I was getting new bulbs but instead it gave me this!

    This is my first experience with bulbophyllums, not sure what is normal for this species, but I love the end result!!

    Very nice time lapse on your pictures! I like seeing things bloom and that was almost as good as being there. Great job! You will never ever tire of finding new flower spikes...I promise.

    Now that my allergies have abated, I can tell these flowers have a scent!! And its not pretty....

    Luckily the smell is light enough it doesn't permeate the room!
