Cool Angraecum didieri - In Bloom

And here are a few pictures taken the last few days, now that the flower is open. I noticed it looks like there is anther bump poking out. It may be another flower...or more likely another new root. I recently relocated this plant and it has gone crazy growing new roots since then. Again, I've never heard of these blooming more than once a year, hopefully this is a new trend for mine.

Very nice. They have such large flowers for the size of the plant.

I like this species, it's almost a mini. Nice growing.

Gorgeous Angraecum from Madagascar!! (At-least I think that most of the genus are native to Madagascar?). Also, I read somewhere that a lot of white flowering orchids are that colour to provide a clear outline for night flying pollinators...

You are correct, it is from the mountainous forest area on Madagascar. I'm not sure about the last part, but it sure makes sense.

So there are a few that do this? Good to know and I am glad I lucked into a plant that likes to bloom. I will try to keep it happy.
